Taiyo Robotics was taken over by a new team, which came with a coin called "SCRAP" created by the previous owners. The current team did not design or develop SCRAP, which was intended to extract money from people. Upon taking over Taiyo, the team attempted to make SCRAP as useful as possible, but it was never part of their technology plans and was not included in any revenue models. With the launch of Graphite, the team needed to convert SCRAP into Graphite to phase out SCRAP. As of today, SCRAP is no longer being emitted through staking and can only be converted into a shard that emits Graphite. A program was created to allow people to exchange SCRAP for a Graphite shard. After the IDO, these shards will be stakable and a portion of Graphite can be claimed daily, based on the vesting time.

**Vesting**\

Vesting for shards operates in a unique and dynamic manner. When you exchange for a shard, the shard does not have a fixed vesting period. Instead, the vesting period is determined by the wallet that is staking it. The length of the vesting period is determined by the amount of Taiyo ecosystem assets held in the wallet. The tokens vest daily and the number of months indicates when the full vesting will be completed.\
